CASE STUDY
Freelance backend development for a UK B2B lead-search service built with Next.js. The product uses Companies House-related business data, personalized pitch generation and Stripe-powered access.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Freelance backend contribution to the lead-search, integration, billing and premium-access workflows; this does not claim sole ownership of the complete product.
PROJECT CONTEXT
Zivlo is a UK B2B lead-search service built with Next.js. Its product experience uses Companies House-related business data and personalized pitch generation alongside paid access.
DEVELOPMENT
The freelance backend contribution covered lead-search processing, external data-source integration, APIs and service-layer development. Search and data processing are kept separate from billing and premium-access decisions.
DEVELOPMENT
Stripe payment workflows and subscription handling connect billing state to entitlement and premium-access logic. Access decisions use authoritative payment state rather than assuming a payment attempt has succeeded.
TECHNICAL APPROACH
External API failures and unsuccessful payments need clear outcomes. The confirmed work includes payment exception handling and recoverable failure paths, avoiding misleading success states when an external operation does not complete.
DEVELOPMENT
The freelance backend contribution also included production environment configuration and deployment through production release.
TECHNOLOGY
Separate search and data processing from billing and entitlement logic. Keep payment state authoritative for premium access, and handle external API failures and unsuccessful payments without misleading success states.
